Job Title: Electronic Service Tech I Urgently Hiring
Pay: $18/Hr
Hours: Work 40 hours a week Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Start Date: ASAP
Selectemp Employment is seeking a dedicated Electronic Service Tech in Grants Pass, OR. The ideal candidates are skilled with tools, can read and understand engineering drawings and instructions, and have a great mechanical aptitude. As a Electronic Service Tech, you will be responsible for:
Receives in returned goods from Customers based on pre-approved RA paperwork. Performs
preliminary visual inspection, verifies paperwork, notes condition
Reviews any information provided by customer to assist determining the nature and scope of
any problems. Performs tear down and initial inspection of products. Is able to disassemble,reassemble, troubleshoot, and test products. Determines what work needs to be done including repairs and replacement parts.
Develops the total cost estimate and provides service worksheets to Service Administrator to finalize contract with customer prior to work being done.
Determines if products are beyond economic repair (BER) and makes recommendations to Customers of the best course of action which are aligned with their interests.
Record, compute and analyze test data. Prepare brief, accurate records and timely updates as appropriate.
Performs repairs and calibrations on products according to standards. Prepares calibration certifications. Once work is completed, sends goods along with the Sales Order to Shipping.
Recognizes failures and problems and determines need for appropriate action. Maintains and updates the Problem Product Log (PPL).
Manages the Service Department inventory.

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and stand for extended periods.
Computer Skills: Basic computer skills required.
Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
3+ years' experience testing and/or calibrating various electronic components or products.
Comfortable in using a variety of hand tools, lab equipment, test equipment, test fixtures, apparatus, and maintain them.
