Job Title: Shop Helper – Urgently Hiring!

We are seeking a Shop Helper for a temp-to-hire position with our client, a reputable sign manufacturer in Albany, Oregon. This role is ideal for individuals with experience in manufacturing, metalworking, welding (even at a hobby level), or construction. The right candidate should be able to read and understand drawings, use hand and power tools, and learn to operate larger manufacturing equipment such as aluminum shears, drill presses, band saws, and table saws.

Unlike traditional production-line manufacturing, this company focuses on start-to-finish sign building, requiring adaptability and a team-oriented mindset.

• Manufacturing & Assembly: Assist in building and assembling signage using power tools and equipment.

• Material Handling: Sort, organize, and move materials to keep the workspace efficient.

• Loading & Transportation: Load trucks with signs and necessary supplies, and occasionally drive an F-150 to deliver materials to job sites.

• Vinyl Application: Assist in applying vinyl decals to vehicles and signs.

• Equipment Maintenance: Wash returned equipment and keep the shop clean.

• General Support: Sweep floors and assist with various tasks as needed.

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Experience in construction, manufacturing, welding, or related fields.

• Strong attention to detail, willingness to learn, and ability to work independently.

• Ability to read blueprints/drawings (preferred).

• Comfortable using hand tools and cordless power tools.

• Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

• Forklift certification is a plus but not required.

• Valid Oregon driver’s license required.
