Position Overview for the Senior Specialty Physician Coder – Interventional:

  • Review and analyze specialty coding and billing for charge processing under the direction of the Coding Compliance Manager.
  • Code office, hospital, and surgical procedures ensuring accurate reimbursement and compliance.
  • Maintain expert knowledge of ICD10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems relevant to radiology and interventional procedures.
  • Ensure accurate coding for outpatient, inpatient, diagnostic tests, and other medical services rendered to patients.
  • Collaborate with physicians and medical staff to clarify coding questions and maintain high standards of accuracy.

Requirements for the Senior Specialty Physician Coder – Interventional:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience working as a medical coder in a hospital or physician’s office setting, with interaction with physicians.
  • At least 2 years’ experience specializing in interventional radiology coding, with proven proficiency in IR procedures.
  • Proven outpatient Profee experience with a focus on radiology.
