Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Business Analyst:
Support the early stages of Medicaid system modernization and strategy planning
Develop and document detailed requirements for a Fiscal Agent RFP
Assist in transition planning from legacy systems to new vendor-operated solutions
Analyze current operations and identify opportunities to streamline and modernize processes
Act as a liaison between state stakeholders, vendors, and operational teams
Occasionally travel for stakeholder meetings or workshops (once per quarter or every 4-5 months)
Required Skills for Business Analyst:
5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Consultant in Medicaid operations
Prior experience developing requirements for a Fiscal Agent RFP
Deep understanding of Medicaid operational services (claims, provider management, fiscal operations)
Experience working for or with state agencies, consulting firms, or Medicaid vendors
Strong familiarity with Medicaid modernization strategies and fiscal agent transitions
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaborate across diverse teams
Strong documentation and stakeholder management capabilities
Located on East Coast
