We are seeking a Welder for a full-time position for our client, a premier outdoor living space company known for handcrafted fencing, gates, and pergolas, located in Pittsfield, ME. The Welder will work hands-on in a fast-paced vinyl fabrication shop, using tools and machinery to create custom outdoor products. The Welder will thrive in this role by being mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and ready to grow their skills in a collaborative, team-driven environment. This is a potential temp-to-hire position based in Pittsfield, Maine.

As a Welder, you will be responsible for:

  • Fabricate and repair customer orders using a variety of materials

  • Read and interpret blueprints and work orders accurately

  • Perform MIG welding (TIG welding is a plus) and metal finishing

  • Measure, cut, bend, and shape sheet metal components

  • Fit, install, and assemble fabricated structures

  • Operate shop machinery and power tools (training provided)

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

  • Assist with material handling in and out of the shop

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

  • Completion of Fabrication Trainee program or equivalent experience

  • MIG welding experience (TIG welding is a plus)

  • Mechanical aptitude and strong hand-eye coordination

  • Ability to read tape measures and blueprints

  • Willingness to learn and rotate tasks

  • Certified welding/fabrication credentials (preferred)

  • Ability to pass a welding test (preferred)

  Responsibilities
  • Operate Crown Sit-down Forklift and Turret Truck for loading, unloading, and inventory organization.
  • Fulfill orders, assist with cycle counting, and ensure proper product storage.
  • Perform physical inventory checks and report discrepancies like shortages or damages.
  • Inspect products for damage, infestation, and proper labeling.
