We are seeking a Welder for a full-time position for our client, a premier outdoor living space company known for handcrafted fencing, gates, and pergolas, located in Pittsfield, ME. The Welder will work hands-on in a fast-paced vinyl fabrication shop, using tools and machinery to create custom outdoor products. The Welder will thrive in this role by being mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and ready to grow their skills in a collaborative, team-driven environment. This is a potential temp-to-hire position based in Pittsfield, Maine.

As a Welder, you will be responsible for:

• Fabricate and repair customer orders using a variety of materials

• Read and interpret blueprints and work orders accurately

• Perform MIG welding (TIG welding is a plus) and metal finishing

• Measure, cut, bend, and shape sheet metal components

• Fit, install, and assemble fabricated structures

• Operate shop machinery and power tools (training provided)

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

• Assist with material handling in and out of the shop

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

• Completion of Fabrication Trainee program or equivalent experience

• MIG welding experience (TIG welding is a plus)

• Mechanical aptitude and strong hand-eye coordination

• Ability to read tape measures and blueprints

• Willingness to learn and rotate tasks

• Certified welding/fabrication credentials (preferred)

• Ability to pass a welding test (preferred)

• Familiarity with AWS welding symbols (preferred)

• Physical ability to stand, bend, and lift 50–70 lbs for extended periods

Job Title: Material Handler – Cold Storage Facility (Portland, ME)

Pay: $22/hr Hours: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM Start Date: Immediate openings!  

We are seeking a Material Handler for our client in Portland, ME. The Material Handler role involves working in a cold storage facility, handling various warehouse tasks such as order fulfillment, inventory counting, and put-away. This temp-to-hire opportunity offers potential for long-term employment.

  Responsibilities

• Operate Crown Sit-down Forklift and Turret Truck for loading, unloading, and inventory organization.
• Fulfill orders, assist with cycle counting, and ensure proper product storage.
• Perform physical inventory checks and report discrepancies like shortages or damages.
• Inspect products for damage, infestation, and proper labeling.
• Safely store inventory and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
• Follow Food Safety protocols and Good Distribution Practices (GDPs).
• Assist with additional warehouse tasks and maintain flexibility for operational needs.
• Conduct equipment inspections to ensure safe operations.

  Cold Storage Environment

• Dock temperatures: 32-35°F; Freezer areas: -10°F; Truck interiors: 50°F.

Requirements

• Equipment: Experience with sit-down or stand-up forklifts (1-year required).
• Safety: Comfortable working at heights up to 35 feet (harnessed).
• Physical Stamina: Lift up to 50 lbs; stand/walk for extended periods.
• Teamwork: Positive attitude, flexibility, and respect in a team setting.
• Food Safety: Preferred knowledge of food safety regulations.
• Cold Storage: Experience in cold or freezer environments is a plus.

Hand Weavers will work directly with carbon fiber material, creating intricate multi-directional weaves used in cutting-edge applications in the defense and aerospace industries. Successful candidates will be detail-oriented, safety-focused, and motivated to grow within the aerospace manufacturing field. This is a full-time position on either first or second shift in a climate-controlled environment with excellent growth potential and industry-leading benefits. As a Hand Weaving Technician, you will:

• Perform repetitive hand weaving tasks, using tools and applying physical force to weaving fixtures
• Handle needles, spools, and perform associated utility jobs
• Inspect products to ensure specifications are met
• Set up looms, perform rodding, weaving functions, documentation updates, in-process compressions, and frame installation
• Wear required personal protective equipment, including safety shoes and safety eyewear
• Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations
• Support and participate in company-wide Lean improvement initiatives

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

• Education: High school diploma or GED (or equivalent)
• Experience: Manufacturing exposure preferred, but not required
• Skills: Excellent hand-eye coordination, strong attention to detail, ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions, and basic math skills (testing required)
• Personal Characteristics: Safety-minded, reliable, motivated to grow, works well independently and in a team
• Certifications/Licenses: None required, but must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Passport or ability to obtain one)
• Physical Abilities: Able to lift 50 lbs as needed and stand for long periods of time
