The Plater position comes with a flat hourly rate from £28.00 to £30.00 CIS Role responsibilities and key skills for the role:• Carry out the fabrication, modification and installation of steelwork, brackets, supports, access platforms and mechanical components in accordance with engineering drawings and site requirements.
• Close out mechanical and structural punch list items, ensuring all works are completed safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.
• Interpret engineering drawings, fabrication details and technical specifications to support installation, repair and maintenance activities.
• Assist with the fitting, alignment and installation of mechanical equipment, pipework supports, steel structures and associated plant systems.
• Undertake repair, maintenance and refurbishment activities on power generation assets, including Coal, Gas Turbine (GT), Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) and other industrial plant environments.
• Work closely with welders, mechanical fitters, supervisors and construction teams to ensure the successful delivery of outage, maintenance and new-build construction projects.

The Mechanical Fitter position comes with a flat hourly rate from £26.00 to £30.00 CIS. Role responsibilities and key skills for the role:• Carry out the installation, maintenance, repair and alignment of mechanical equipment and plant systems in accordance with engineering drawings and project specifications.
• Close out mechanical punch list items, ensuring all outstanding works are completed safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.
• Perform equipment adjustments, repairs, overhauls and assembly activities on pumps, valves, rotating equipment, conveyors and associated mechanical systems.
• Support commissioning, testing and fault-finding activities to ensure mechanical systems are fully operational and ready for handover.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, P&IDs and manufacturer documentation to support installation and maintenance works.
• Demonstrate experience within Power Plant Repair & Maintenance environments (Coal, GT, CCGT) and/or large-scale new-build energy and industrial construction projects.

Astute's Renewables Team are currently recruiting for a Project Manager to join the End Client on a large-scale Biogas plant based in Avonmouth. The role will commence from Mid-June for an 18 months. The role is outside of IR35.
The Project Manager position comes with a day rate from £500.00 to £600.00 outside of IR35. Role responsibilities and key skills for the role:• Support the delivery of all Health, Safety and Environmental activities across the converter station construction project, ensuring compliance with company procedures, client requirements and UK legislation.
• Promote a positive safety culture across site, engaging with project teams, subcontractors and stakeholders to drive safe working practices at all times.
• Conduct regular site inspections, audits and workplace monitoring activities to identify hazards, ensure compliance and support continual improvement initiatives.
• Assist with the review and implementation of Risk Assessments, Method Statements (RAMS), Construction Phase Plans (CPPs), Permit-to-Work systems and other key HSE documentation.
• Provide practical HSE guidance and support to construction teams involved in civil, structural, mechanical and electrical installation activities.
• Participate in toolbox talks, safety briefings, inductions and workforce engagement programmes to reinforce project HSE standards and expectations.

• Work closely with project management, construction teams and client representatives to ensure effective communication and coordination of HSE matters across the project.
