Shift Team Leader

As the Shift Team Leader you’ll be involved in the supervision of the Operations Team including Shift Operators and Fuel Operators ensuring safe & efficient operation of the plant. There will be a focus on improving efficiency & plant performance to meet contractual obligations in terms of availability & power production.   • Ideally qualified with an IOSH / NEBOSH or equivalent with an appreciation of workplace Health & Safety including knowledge of Safe Systems of Work, LOTO, Isolations, SOP's, RAMS would also be considered.
  • Ideally a recognised Engineering Apprenticeship.
      Personal skills The Shift Team Leader would suit someone with:
  • At least five years supervisory or leadership experience or able to demonstrate extensive leadership qualities.
  • Qualified to act as a Senior Authorised Person / SAP for all HV Switching activities.
  • Practical knowledge of process plant and equipment gained in an industry such as Energy from Waste, Biomass, Coal, CCGT, Nuclear / Power Generation, Petrochemical or Oil & Gas etc ideally with Steam Raising plant.

The successful applicant will be responsible for supporting the EC&I Engineer in performing pre-planned and reactive maintenance of all EC&I assets on site. We are actively recruiting for a Mechanical Field Service Engineer to join a leading serving company who operate within various sectors including Power Stations, CHP Plants, Utilities, FMCG, Petrochemical and many more to deliver maintenance, resources, technical support and repairs.

This is a field based position covering Essex and South East parts of London. You may also be required to travel further afield within the UK as they grow their client base.

 

Role & Responsibilities

As a Mechanical Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Carrying out pre-planned and reactive maintenance on mechanical assets including turbines, pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, etc.
