Astute’s Power team is proudly partnered with a multinational buisness who offer expert electrical and instrumentation services for high-risk, complex projects across Offshore Wind, Power and Renewables, Oil, Gas and Chemical, Mining, Pharmaceutical and Healthcare and Industrial Manufacturing to recruit a HV Operations Manager to support the growth and delivery of their high-voltage operations portfolio. This role will play a key part in strengthening client relationships, driving project performance, and expanding market presence within a competitive and fast-paced sector.

The HV Operations Manager comes with a salary of between £105k-£115k and benefits package.

Responsibilities and duties of the HV Operations Manager

Reporting to the Managing Director / Operations Director you will:

• Develop and expand business opportunities with both existing and new clients, supporting pipeline growth

• Lead early-stage project discussions from both a technical and delivery perspective • Act as the primary escalation point for clients, ensuring satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle • Negotiate variations, extensions of time (EOTs), and commercial matters collaboratively with clients • Ensure clear communication with clients during tender and validation stages, managing expectations on cost, programme, and risks • Oversee project mobilisation phases, ensuring deliverables and timelines are achievable and aligned • Lead and manage project teams including Project Managers, Commercial Managers, and Lead Engineers • Monitor project performance through regular reporting and reviews, making adjustments to resources and programmes as required • Attend key client and internal meetings, ensuring effective project governance and communication • Ensure company policies, procedures, and standards are maintained across all projects • Work closely with internal departments including safety, procurement, quality, and planning • Report on project performance and risks to senior leadership • Oversee subcontractor selection and appointment, ensuring scope clarity and risk mitigation • Review contract documentation to ensure accuracy across scope, programme, and commercial terms • Support resource planning to ensure projects are adequately staffed • Take overall accountability for project success alongside the Project Manager Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

• Degree in Engineering, Business, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)

• Minimum of three years’ experience within HV operations or a related field • Strong technical knowledge of HV systems, including installation, testing, and commissioning up to 235kV • Experience with inspection, monitoring practices, and industry standards within HV operations • Proven track record in project delivery and operational leadership • Experience in cable pull-in services and EHV/HV/LV installation and termination Personal skills

• Strong leadership and team management capability

• Excellent stakeholder and client relationship skills • Commercial awareness with the ability to manage contracts and negotiations • Proactive, solutions-focused, and able to work in a fast-paced environment • Organised and detail-oriented with strong decision-making ability Salary and benefits of the HV Operations Manager role:
