Senior Project Scheduler

We are working in partnership with a global Energy provider. We are currently recruiting for a Project Scheduler to work on multiple large scale power generation developments.  The Project Scheduler role comes with a rate of £60 per hour.     Key skills 
  • Create and maintain fully linked, cost- and resource-loaded project schedules.
  • Develop and track schedules across all project phases.
  • Monitor progress, identify risks, report performance, and carry out schedule analyses.
  • Use scheduling and risk software such as Primavera P6, MS Project, and related tools.
  • Support resource planning and ensure resource needs are identified and managed.
  • Collaborate with project teams and suppliers to gather and validate schedule information.
  • Review contractor schedules, support site teams with look-aheads, and advise on delay claims.
  • Assess critical paths, evaluate impacts of changes, and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Track schedule performance and escalate emerging delays or issues.
  • Review, optimise, benchmark, and monitor internal and external schedules and construction processes.

Project Development Director

Astute’s Power team is partnering with leading Waste Management Company a to recruit a Project Development Director on a 24-month contract to work on projects in Middle East, Australia and Vietnam.    The Project Development Director role comes with a rate between £800-£1100 per day.      Key skills 
  • Manage the full development lifecycle for the EfW projects, including project definition, permitting, commercial structuring, partner engagement, and investment approvals.
  • Lead cross-functional teams across engineering, finance, legal, environmental, procurement, and external advisors to ensure coordinated and timely advancement.
  • Develop strong working relationships with government authorities, regulators, utilities, technology providers, waste suppliers, EPC contractors, and financial institutions in each region.
  • Structure and evaluate business cases, including revenue models, feedstock supply agreements, power purchase agreements, and incentive frameworks.
  • Secure environmental and planning approvals, ensuring full compliance with local regulations and sustainability requirements.
  • Support EPC contracting strategies, tender processes, risk allocation, and negotiation of key commercial contracts.
  • Prepare investment proposals and development progress reports for executive leadership and governance committees..
