EC&I Engineer - Nuclear

Introduction
Astute are looking to recruit several EC&I Engineers to join a prestigious Engineering Consultancy within the Nuclear sector. EC&I Engineers will be responsible for developing technical solutions for nuclear projects at very different stages of plant lifecycle including design, new build and decommissioning.
Roles & Responsibilities
As the EC&I Engineer you will be responsible for:
- Support the development of technical solutions to meet client scope of works
- Ensure procedures, codes and standards are applied to engineering and technical activities
- Contribute to the Product Safety Assessment process
- Provide technical interface with internal and external stakeholders at a detailed level
- Carry out technical investigation, analysis and data review for design improvements
- Apply engineering knowledge to produce technical solutions and documentation
- Ensure appropriate review, verification and approval is undertaken on work
- Plan, deliver and monitor assigned tasks to ensure project deliverables
- Support Senior Engineers and Project Managers for the planning, control and delivery of tasks and projects
- Maintain industry knowledge on technical developments
Skills & Qualifications
We are looking for EC&I Engineers with the following:
- Degree or equivalent in a relevant engineering subject
- Relevant experience in a similar role either in nuclear or a heavy process industry such as power generation, oil & gas, chemical, or defence
- Demonstrable experience working in multi-disciplined teams to deliver projects
