The Sub Agent role is vital for ensuring the successful delivery of this exciting project and comes with a salary up to £53,000, car allowance and private health care.   • Produce, review, and manage method statements and other site documentation.

Introduction

 

Astute are looking to recruit several EC&I Engineers to join a prestigious Engineering Consultancy within the Nuclear sector. EC&I Engineers will be responsible for developing technical solutions for nuclear projects at very different stages of plant lifecycle including design, new build and decommissioning.

 

Roles & Responsibilities

As the EC&I Engineer you will be responsible for:

  • Support the development of technical solutions to meet client scope of works
  • Ensure procedures, codes and standards are applied to engineering and technical activities
  • Contribute to the Product Safety Assessment process
  • Provide technical interface with internal and external stakeholders at a detailed level
  • Carry out technical investigation, analysis and data review for design improvements
  • Apply engineering knowledge to produce technical solutions and documentation
  • Ensure appropriate review, verification and approval is undertaken on work
  • Plan, deliver and monitor assigned tasks to ensure project deliverables
  • Support Senior Engineers and Project Managers for the planning, control and delivery of tasks and projects
  • Maintain industry knowledge on technical developments

 

Skills & Qualifications

We are looking for EC&I Engineers with the following:

  • Degree or equivalent in a relevant engineering subject
  • Relevant experience in a similar role either in nuclear or a heavy process industry such as power generation, oil & gas, chemical, or defence
  • Demonstrable experience working in multi-disciplined teams to deliver projects

Astute’s Power team is partnering with a leading civil subcontractor to recruit a Quantity Surveyor on a 12-month contract for its Cheshire site. The Quantity Surveyor role comes with a day rate of £450.             Key skills  
  • Mentor the commercial team where required promoting CPD, etc.
  • Oversee all assigned commercial accounts in line with the R&Rs outlined below.
  • Actively chase up applications, payment certs and associated payments.
  • Negotiate, agree, and close out final accounts.
  • Ensure compliance on assigned commercial accounts are in line with contractual obligations surrounding payment terms/commercial calendar and construction law.
  • In the unlikely event of a dispute, oversee, negotiate, attend and see through dispute resolution meetings through necessary means such as arbitration or similar.
  • Establish, update and maintain a schedule of rates for tendering purposes
  • Establish, update and maintain a schedule of current day works rates.
