Astute are partnered with a leading recycling and waste management business in the UK, who are looking for a Technical Sales Advisor to join their Hazardous Waste Sales Team in nurturing and developing new incoming sales opportunities whilst proving sound technical advice.

 

 

Roles & Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the Technical Sales Manager, as a Technical Sales Advisor, you will be responsible for:

 

• Answering incoming calls and emails from prospective and existing clients whilst providing technical sales advice off the back of process bulk and packages customer enquiries.
• Arranging the hazpack chemist visit and ensuring that the collection of samples and lab results are provided back to the client and uploaded to the system within an agreed timeframe.
• Obtaining all technical information and providing a technical sales quote to the client
• Working alongside the companies depot and company suppliers to ensure the best value options are provided to the clients for their hazardous waste requirements.
• Offering first class hazardous waste advice to clients as well as providing a fantastic level of customer service.
• Ensuring that personal KPI’s and targets are met
• Liaising with external stakeholders, account managers and suppliers to ensure a smooth process across the board.

 

This role will be predominantly based from home, however there is the option to work from an office in various locations around the UK – please only apply if this is suitable.

 

Skills & Qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

 

• A relevant qualification in a chemistry is essential
• Experience of working within hazardous waste
• Knowledge of the waste industry would be ideal
• Strong sales advisory background
• Experience of negotiating sales and managing the sales process
• The ability to work in a high pressure environment
• A full UK driving licence is required for this role.

Description

For a Site supervisor (also known as Lead Air Hygiene Engineer) this role offers security, competitive pay, bonuses and overtime, door to door payment, sick pay, life assurance, career development and much more.

Hydro-X Air comprises of dedicated teams of two working remotely to deliver ventilation Ductwork cleaning and other air hygiene services to our customers.

Location: Field Based, will be expected to travel within the region

Working Hours: 45hours per week, some weeks will be working days, others will be night working and some weekend work will be required. Schedulers aim to plan jobs up to 2 weeks in advance where possible. Requirements

Main Duties

The duties will include, but are not limited to, working within the guidance provided by TR19 and associated company documents, and guidance, to ensure that any work on site is safe and free from the risks.

You may be expected to undertake some or all of the work below:

• Carry out kitchen extract system cleaning and canopy cleans in accordance with TR19 Grease.
• Carry out ventilation systems cleaning in accordance with TR19.
• Installation of access doors into ventilation system in accordance with DW144.
• Carry out inspection of the Fire dampers in accordance with BS9999
• Follow a preventative maintenance program as instructed.
• Maintain personal equipment & chemical stocks inventories.
• You will also be expected to undertake any other duties associated to the output of the Regional Team as required.

 

Your knowledge

The appointee must have proficient knowledge in the following areas:

• Ventilation systems management in accordance with TR19 Grease.
• Ventilation cleaning techniques in accordance with TR19
• Access doors installation in accordance with DW144

This is a demanding role requiring excellent team working, attention to detail, IT and communication skills with multi-stakeholder networking skills across all levels of the Tradebe Business including external customers and regulators. The successful candidate will be required to obtain SC National Security clearance. The post-holder will report to the RDAT (Radwaste Disposals, Accountancy and Transport) Manager at Tradebe Inutec. Key Responsibilities · Ensure compliance (both legislative and 3rd party requirements) of all radioactive waste movements in and out of Tradebe Inutec. · Support the Site and provide advice and guidance to the business on profitable technical solutions for waste through thorough understanding of waste recycling/disposal Waste Acceptance Criteria both for primary and secondary wastes. · Line management of the RDAT team · Oversight and management of processes for the management of wastes at Winfrith. · Oversee the preparation of paperwork to send waste to LLWR, Fawley and other radioactive waste processing and disposal sites. · Have oversight of offsite packages compliance as well as package maintenance, inspection, testing and record keeping. · Act as the Safeguard Lead for Nuclear Materials Accountancy and Control. · Liaise with the Security Manager with regards to the requirements of the security plan for Category I to III shipments and any other relevant security matters.  Ensure necessary notifications are made and provide a security movement plan and security escort where necessary. · Approve transport moves.                                                                                                                                                           · Responsible data verification tasks and support PMs in verification tasks as required. · Ensure all waste at Tradebe Inutec comply with statutory regulations, Environmental Permitting Regulations (EPR), ADR, and the Tradebe Inutec site and B4 safety cases. · Ensure all radioactive wastes are checked against relevant Waste Acceptance Criteria (WAC’s) prior to final disposal to sites listed in our EPR. · Support the team to provide technical advice / reports to members of Site and Division teams (including sales, proposals, projects, operations Inutec & Fawley etc). · Obtaining reports and information on radioactive waste management in UK and overseas and reporting to project and technical managers. · Updating and improving waste compliance instructions. · Management and preparation before and during audits. · Oversight of preparation of waste acceptance paperwork · Ensure waste is correctly recorded and removed from the Tradebe Inutec Waste Tracking database so Tradebe Inutec has a live record of all radioactive waste held on site. · Monitor and move / split waste consignments as they are processed at Tradebe Inutec. · Development and improvements of internal processes and interdepartmental processes that affect the team directly. · Working directly with or for Project Managers on detailed waste issues as required · Participate in Duty of Care Audits Required Qualifications – must have Education: Degree required, ideally a Bachelor's in radiochemistry, physics, or related field Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.), strong organizational and leadership skills Preferred Qualifications – nice to have RAMTUC Level 3 Course 2+ years' experience of radioactive waste and dangerous goods transport desirable.
