Astute are proudly partnered with a global client who are looking for Asset Managers to join their Milton Keynes office. The client offers operations and maintenance (O&M) services to their clients across the UK and are looking for an Asset Manager to deal more client-side that with the Engineers, to ensure that the assets are being correctly managed and maintained, making sure that the client’s contractual obligations are met.

Roles & Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the Senior Operations Manager, as an Asset Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Asset management across a portfolio or ground mount solar PV assets
• Ensuring all O&M works are completed in accordance with contractual obligations
• Being the primary client contact for clients and managing customer queries
• Contract management and ensuring all contracts in accordance with each site are up to date and conditions are met
• Assisting with the management of internal resource to plan and execute O&M works
• Attending site visits when required
• Raising work orders, managing H&S practices and ensuring best practice
• Other duties as required

Skills & Qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

• Solar experience, whether educational or demonstrable work experience in solar
• Asset management experience is ideal, but maybe you’re an Engineer with some relevant experience wanting to move into more of an office-based role, Project Engineers/Managers or experience in a Performance & Monitoring Engineer will also be of interest
• SCADA experience/knowledge is an advantage
• UK driving licence is essential
• A relevant educational qualification, ie degree / HNC / HND in engineering or renewable energy
• A driven, problem-solving and passionate attitude

• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel / stay away when required

Roles & Responsibilities

 

• Oversee the management of the construction site on a day-to-day basis, including supervising the labour force, monitoring subcontractors and overseeing quality control.
• Plan and coordinate a project from start to finish, including organising the schedule of work, costings and budget.
• check design documents with architects, surveyors, and engineers
• promote and maintain health and safety, including site inspections to ensure safety rules are being followed
• management of project PM’s producing cost reports, applications for payment and NEC or JCT contract management
• lead the Site Management team and support their operations and activities
• lead and manage Quantity Surveyors on pricing of future works related to the project
• Write project reports
• communicate with any consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors and others involved in the project
• maintain regular communication and attend meetings with clients and their representatives to inform them of progress on the project, i.e. stakeholder management

Skills, Qualifications and Experience We are looking for someone with the following:

• Confident in delivering projects to the value of up to 3m+
• Knowledge of NEC3 contracts
• Strong communication skills – for liaising with a wide range of clients and workers on site.
• CSCS Card/HS&E Test
• Relevant qualifications in Project Management such as Prince 2
• Ability to pass BPSS Vetting

Mechanical Technician

Plastic Recycling Avonmouth £43,800 + Package ( 4 on- 4 off Day & Night shifts)

Introduction

Our Client is one of the UK's leading provider of Environmental solutions, offering a full range of Waste and Energy Recovery services through a vast and growing network of Plants and Facilities across the country. As such, they are looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join their largest polymer recycling facility in the UK, based in Avonmouth. Working as their Mechanical Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out key planned, preventative and breakdown maintenance across the recycling facility on a wide variety of heavy plant and equipment.

 

What you will be doing

As the Mechanical Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for:

• Preventative maintenance (PPMs) and reactive maintenance across heavy industrial plant
• Mechanical fault-finding and route cause analysis techniques
• Working across all processing plant
• Maintenance on wash plant,sorting equipment, motors, conveyors and other manufacturing based equipment.
• Minimising downtime, ensuring plant runs at optimum performance
• Be able to deliver all work set to the operational expectations and budgetary requirements
• Keep records using CMMS
• Working as part of a shift pattern
• Other duties as required.

What you will need

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a Mechanical Engineering/ Maintenance role
• Heavy Industrial experience – e.g. processing plant, waste, manufacturing
• Ability to read and interpret engineering diagrams and drawings
