Roles & Responsibilities

As a Monitoring & Performance Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Monitoring assets remotely and immediately reporting to O&M and Asset Managers
  • Tracking equipment issues and defect throughout the entire lifecycle of the assets
  • Analyse the systems data to inform decisions and identify current and long term issues
  • Maintain data security and confidentiality in line with any applicable SLAs
  • Participate in site visits to inspect solar projects
  • Provide support to the O&M, Asset Management and Engineering teams to diagnose and remedy any operational problems

 

Skills & Qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

  • Recognised Engineering Qualification
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Interpretation of electrical and mechanical drawings
  • Experience with computerised monitoring systems on plant and equipment (preferably solar)

The Role

 

As a Service Engineer, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring our customers’ critical power needs are met. You’ll be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and supporting critical power equipment at customer sites, ensuring systems run smoothly and efficiently.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Servicing, maintaining, testing, and repairing generators, UPS, and related systems.

  • Conducting inspections, site surveys, and load bank testing.

  • Supporting installations and commissioning of critical power equipment.

  • Planning and supervising on-site work, always prioritising safety.

  • Providing technical support and completing accurate service reports.

 

About You

 

We’re looking for an experienced and motivated professional with:

  • Experience of servicing, maintaining and fault diagnostics on Generators and other critical power equipment

  • An engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or similar)

Introduction

We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Fitter to join a leading provider of Water engineering services and solutions across the South. Working as a Mechanical fitter, you will joined their small but established team based at their head office travelling out to client sites carrying out mechanical installations, repair and testing work on various water contracts. This will see you working in a hands-on site based role covering both clean and dirty water projects.

 

The Job

Working as the Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for…

  • Preforming installations, repairs, testing and pre-planned maintenance across clean and dirty water projects.
  • Assisting clients on-site with technical faults or refurbishment projects.
  • Installing new systems when needed.
  • Inspection and testing of mechanical systems
  • Following set designs and manufacturers installation guides
  • Completing risk assessments, activity reports and other documentation as required.
  • Offering after sales technical support.

This is a field-based position requiring a flexible approach to work.

 

The Candidate

To be considered for this position candidates will be expected to have a background in performing mechanical maintenance / installation/ testing with experience working in the water industry or on water treatment plants.

Full training will be provided, however candidates are expected to be qualified in mechanical fitting to NVQ level 3 or equivalent and will ideally hold a valid CSCS card as well as having confined space experience and training.

Due to the nature of the role, a full UK driving license is essential.

  • Creating packings lists (dimensions, items, weight)
  • Carry out short- and medium-term scheduling of production activities and working with the Production Manager for long term planning

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in slinging, signalling, and controlling heavy lifts, preferably within nuclear or major infrastructure projects.
