Please note, if there is a cost of living increase in January. We have past the cut off for this for this position to be eligible in Jan 2027, however please see development pathway below for detail on salary increases and what is required to achieve them.

We have been impressed with Janos' ambition and drive and are keen to develop their UPS skills to the benefit of all. I hope this proposal demonstrates this.
Offshore uplifts
We would expect around 85-90x days offshore per year on the anticipated key battery maintenance contract which we want to hand over to Janos over the next 24months.
In addition we would anticipate some two man offshore workscopes, and as their skills progress over time, some solo trips offshore to carry out other UPS work.
Our engineers generrally complete 125-130x days offshore per year. With the battery maintenance contract being successfuly brought in, I don't see why this would be any different for Janos.
Our offshore enhancement payments are:

With these uplifts and quantity of days offshore considered, we would expect a
total earnings range for 90-125x days per year (based on the initial salary advised) to be roughly
£51,500 to £58,000 per annum.
Naturally this would increase as improved pay gradings are reached.
Standard working hours
Onshore
Working hours are 7.5 hours per day (37.5 hours per week) not including lunch, within the core business hours of 06:00 to 18:00 five consecutive days out of seven within a calendar week, with the standard working week being Monday to Friday. Changes to the standard working week i.e. to include Saturday or Sunday would be consulted on an individual basis giving at least 1 months’ notice. There will be a half hour lunch break per day which will be automatically deducted. You will be required to contribute a flexible approach in support of your wider team to cover the area workload. At peak times you may be required to work additional hours which may be on days outside your normal working week. These will be paid at the appropriate overtime rate.
When working offshore
On a production platform, working hours are a daily shift of 12 hours including breaks.
Your normal hours of work are 84 per week and are variable in accordance with the rota, which will be notified to you by client upon arrival on the platform.
You are required to work on Monday to Sunday as defined by the rota. The minimum amount of hours on any working day will be 12. Working hours on any day will be between the times of 12.00 a.m. and 11.59 p.m.
When working additional hours offshore, you are entitled to payment for additional hours at your offshore rate of pay. Any additional overtime hours over and above the standard offshore day must be authorised and signed by the offshore supervisor.
In addition to these hours, you are required to work those hours necessary to fulfil the requirements of your position to the satisfaction of the Company.
Holiday entitlement
8x
English Bank holidays - It is expected that bank holidays outside of the Christmas shutdown can have work planned over them to meet workload demands. Any bank holidays worked can be taken later as lieu days.
187.5hrs (25x days) holidays are provided
From this entitlement, 3x days between Christmas and New Year must always be taken (offices, factory and most service activities are closed down during the festive period)
This leaves 165hr (22x days) free to take when preferred.

Other notes
Return from offshore - rest periods
We must comply with the minimum requirements of vantage system rest periods.
We aim to provide ie 7-10x days (including weekend days) onshore break following any 7-14x day offshore visit, however as a reactive service business there may at times be periods where targeted rest periods cannot be achieved. Conversely there may be periods where the targeted rest periods are exceeded.
Most service reporting is completed during offshore visits, however onshore reporting, customer support and attendance to training sessions is at times expected and necessary.
It is expected that time off required is managed between service planning and engineers to meet the requirements of all parties.
Travel to other O&G mobilisation points in the UK is at times required (ie Humberside, Norwich, Blackpool).
Onshore work
Onshore work is typically shorter in nature and relatively local (ie North and East Scotland), requiring only occasional and short overnight stays away from home.
Onshore work days are not anticipated to exceed 20-30x per year.
