The client offers operations and maintenance (O&M) services to their clients  across the UK and are looking for Asset Managers to deal more client-side that with the Engineers, to ensure that the assets are being correctly managed and maintained, making sure that the client’s contractual obligations are met.

 

Roles & Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the Senior Operations Manager, as an Asset Manager, you will be responsible for:
  • Asset management across a portfolio or ground mount solar PV assets
  • Ensuring all O&M works are completed in accordance with contractual obligations
  • Being the primary client contact for clients and managing customer queries
  • Contract management and ensuring all contracts in accordance with each site are up to date and conditions are met
  • Assisting with the management of internal resource to plan and execute O&M works
  • Attending site visits when required
  • Raising work orders, managing H&S practices and ensuring best practice
  • Other duties as required

 

Skills & Qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:
  • Solar experience, whether educational or demonstrable work experience in solar
  • Asset management experience is ideal, but maybe you’re an Engineer with some relevant experience wanting to move into more of an office based role
  • SCADA experience/knowledge is an advantage
  • UK driving licence is essential
  • A relevant educational qualification, ie degree / HNC / HND in engineering or renewable energy

Working in this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all maintenance programmes across the sites, ensuring they are operating effectively and efficiently.

 

The Role:

Working as the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for covering 3 main transfer stations throughout London, managing their entire engineering strategy and all maintenance teams. This will include:

  • Overseeing all maintenance and engineering programmes across the sites, managing all planned maintenance, breakdowns and improvement projects for both mobile and static plant.
  • Liaising with Senior Management and Site Managers to support with risk assessments, method statements and site compliance, ensuring its running in line with current legislation and company policies.
  • Develop an effective planned maintenance strategy, minimising site down-time and utilising the engineer skill-sets within the team.
  • Driving a continuous improvement culture, looking into new technologies and opportunities for development.

  • Report to senior teams and stakeholders on the performance of the engineering team.

The Candidate

To be considered for this position, candidates should have experience working in an Engineering/ Maintenance Manager role previously, working with dynamic teams within an industrial process environment.

Candidates should be qualified in either Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and should have demonstrable success delivering a strong maintenance strategy.

Knowledge of current waste legislation is desirable and a strong health and safety understanding is a must. Candidates should hold their IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH certificate.

Job Overview

To liaise with both internal and external teams to coordinate the delivery of Nationwide commercial solar projects.

This can include but are limited to the following teams; design, procurement, operations, Health & Safety, engineering and project delivery teams

Responsibilities
  • Site supervision of Solar installations in the construction phase
  • Working with all key parties to ensure safety and a timely completion of the individual project .
  • Provide daily reports from site to the project manager allowing wider programme management.
  • Stock ordering and stock control of the site, minimising waste, and ensuring suitable equipment readily available to maintain the works programme.
  • Weekly snag inspections and report generation.
  • Ensure compliance of the installation works against Custom Solars installation guidelines.
  • Regular Health & Safety inspections and constant monitoring of safe working practices.
  • Effective mobilisation and site set up of the project.
  • Ensuring works adhere to RAMS, and if variations to recommended working methods are required, manage the adjustments in conjunction with the project manager and Health &  Safety Manager.
  • Monitoring and reporting on progress including budgeting and cashflow projections.
  • Effective practical completion of installations, including witnessing of installer testing of systems.
  • Assisting the project manager with final project sign off.
  • Ensure daily paperwork is maintained.
