  • Developing project execution plan during bid phase, including: schedule, support estimate development, executing and contracting strategies
  • Dealing with all stages from design through to commissioning

Electrical Commissioning Engineer - Anaerobic Digestion

The strategically important Electrical Commissioning Engineer role comes with a salary up to £55,000, with 33 days annual leave, overtime and more.   • Technical expertise in Siemens S7 PLC Programming and WinCC HMI Development tools.
  • Excellent understanding of electrical schematics, diagrams and instrumentation equipment.

Responsibilities and Duties

 Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will: 

  • Oversee all aspects of Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality (SHEQ) performance, setting targets, monitoring outcomes, and implementing improvement plans as required.

  • Identify and manage risks at the asset level, including appointing and monitoring external consultants and contractors where necessary.
  • Maintain strong relationships with co-investors, contractual counterparties, supply chain partners, regulators, and other stakeholders.
  • Provide regular internal performance reports and contribute to quarterly progress updates.
  • Represent investors’ interests at board meetings of selected investee companies.
  • Develop KPI packs for facility performance management and share best practices across the portfolio.

 

Professional Qualifications 

We are looking for someone with the following:

  • Operational background within Anaerobic Digestion
  • A degree in engineering, renewable energy, or a related field (preferred).
  • Professional certifications in asset management (e.g., IAM Certificate or Diploma) or project management (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP) are advantageous.
  • Full UK driving licence and the ability to travel between sites.
