Senior Project Engineer

To recruit a Senior Project Engineer to support a pipeline of projects across the UK, managing and overseeing all aspects of project delivery through to handover.   • Degree in Mechanical, Chemical or Process Engineering, or industrial experience deemed equivalent.
  • Achieved, or working towards Chartership.
  • NEBOSH/IOSH desirable.
  • 5 plus years of proven experience in successfully delivering projects in line with timescales and budget.
  Personal skills   The Senior Project Engineer role would suit someone who is:  
  • Full UK License is essential.
  • A self-starter, able to create strategy and work well under pressure.
  • Experience working on Projects within the Organics waste, pharmaceutical, Chemical, Oil and Gas or food industry a considerable advantage.
  • Civils experience
  • Flexible to travel and stay away as required.

Due to company growth, they are currently seeking a Project Manager to join their team and support with up and coming projects.                     Roles & Responsibilities As the Project Manager, you will be responsible for:
  • Developing project execution plan during bid phase, including: schedule, support estimate development, executing and contracting strategies
  • Dealing with all stages from design through to commissioning
  • Maximizing project efficiency and profitability
  • Manage to Project Budget, forecast, managing variations and changes
  • Ensuring all health, safety, quality and environmental procedures are integrated into the clients activities
  • Provide a key technical focal point for all engineering and technical clarifications

Responsibilities and duties of the Process Engineer role Reporting to the Head of Bioprocess you will:  
  • Analyse complex datasets to uncover trends, diagnose issues, and support optimisation of the anaerobic digestion (AD) process.
  • Apply deep technical knowledge of AD biology, systems, and maintenance to solve operational challenges and improve performance.
  • Lead and contribute to process improvement projects, collaborating with engineering and operations teams and participating in plant workshops.

  • A master’s degree in process or chemical engineering (or similar)
  • At least 1 year of hands-on experience working with large data sets and using the results to make decisions or improvements
  • Strong understanding of subjects like chemistry, biology, maths, thermodynamics, heat and mass transfer, mechanics, and control systems
  • Confident using computers and digital tools
  • Great at analysing data, creating reports, and sharing findings clearly
  • Well-organized, with the ability to manage and prioritise a busy workload
  • This role requires a Full UK driver’s license
  • The client does not currently have the ability to hire candidates that require sponsorship
  Personal skills   The Process Engineer role would suit someone who is:  
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with experience interpreting complex data to drive process optimisation and technical decision-making.
  • Technical expertise in process or chemical engineering, including a solid foundation in biology, chemistry, thermodynamics, and control systems relevant to anaerobic digestion.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to clearly present findings, work cross-functionally with teams, and travel to sites across the UK as needed.
