Astute’s Power Team is with a leading Biomass company to recruit a Project Development Manager working hybrid from the London office.  The Project Development Manager role comes with salary of up to £60,000 + private medical + benefits If you’re a Project Development Manager with experience in district heating or similar industry and are looking for work then submit your CV to apply today.      Responsibilities and duties of the Project Development Manager role Reporting to the Head of Project Development you will: •    Evaluate project leads from business development, ensuring technical and commercial viability. •    Interpret and assess contractual, technical, legal, and regulatory information to identify risks and opportunities. •    Conduct heat network feasibility studies, including heat demand analysis, energy centre design, and stakeholder engagement. •    Use GIS software to map and optimise heat network layouts. •    Develop and refine techno-economic models to assess commercial viability, requiring high proficiency in Excel. •    Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including engineers, consultants, clients, and regulatory bodies. •    Prepare clear and concise project proposals, bids, and grant applications. •    Work closely with estimating and operations teams to ensure alignment between project costs and objectives. •    Monitor energy market trends, regulatory updates, and policy developments impacting heat networks. •    Support procurement, contract negotiations, and funding applications for new and existing heat network projects. Professional qualifications We are looking for someone with the following: •    An Engineering Degree with a strong academic performance  •    2 – 5 years’ experience in heat networks, energy infrastructure or a related field   •    Technical and commercial experience in energy infrastructure projects.  •    Expose to GIS software for spatial analysis and network planning.  •    Familiarity with the full project lifecycle, from feasibility to execution.  Personal skills The Project Development Manager role would suit someone who has: •    Strong analytical skills, with experience in commercial and economic modelling  •    A proven ability to adapt and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment •    High proficiency in Excel  Salary and benefits of the Project Development Manager role •    Starting salary of up to £60,000  •    Benefits package including Private Medical insurance and hybrid working •    Opportunity to work for a leading district heating company
