Responsibilities and duties of the Environmental Business Partner
As the Environmental Business Partner, you will:

Lead the implementation of the organisation’s Environmental and Sustainability Strategy across operational sites.

Act as the subject matter expert on environmental compliance, regulations, and best practice.

Support operational leaders with environmental risk assessments, improvement planning, and mobilisation activities.

Monitor emerging legislation, industry standards, and innovations, translating them into practical operational guidance.

Lead or support external audits and contribute to environmental reporting for stakeholders and regulators.

Conduct incident investigations and root cause analysis, ensuring effective corrective and preventive actions.

Deliver tailored environmental training to teams across the business.

Support bids, proposals, and business development activities with environmental insight and compliance planning.

Undertake internal audits and reviews to ensure continuous adherence to regulatory and corporate standards.

Drive proactive sustainability initiatives and contribute to the ongoing improvement of environmental management systems.
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:

Degree in an environmental or sustainability-related field.

Chartered status with a recognised environmental institution (or actively working towards it within 12 months) – highly desirable

Significant experience in environmental compliance and sustainability within a complex, operational environment.

Demonstrated ability to design, implement, and embed compliance frameworks and best-practice standards.

Experience delivering training, producing clear reporting, and supporting bid or project mobilisation activities.

Salary and benefits of the Environmental Business Partner role:
