Ryan distinguished himself from most of my other recruiter contacts in a number of ways: - He genuinely listened to what I considered to be my strengths and weaknesses and seemed to understand the kinds of roles I would best be aligned for success - The nature of his follow-up questions showed that he was paying attention and engaged (I realize that recruiters speak with hundreds of candidates, and it's probably easy to fall into some kind of a script. Ryan was personable and engaged, in a manner I found refreshing and encouraging.) - Ryan didn't try to bait me with opportunities that don't presently exist. When he suggested potential clients, they were companies already high on my target list; so he seems to understand my alignment.
