We are seeking a Sales Tax Analyst for a financial support position for a manufacturing company located in Willoughby, OH. The Sales Tax Analyst will provide key financial support by analyzing financial data to generate actionable reports that assist in decision making, mainly in the area of sales tax compliance.
As a Sales Tax Analyst, you will be responsible for:
-Analyze financial data to support accurate and timely sales and local tax reporting.
-Prepare and present reports based on data analysis for sales tax, to help make decisions.
-Work with the Controller, accounting team and the CPA firm to ensure tax compliance and assist in audit preparation, if needed.
-Identify trends, discrepancies or areas of risk related to tax obligations.
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
-Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
-5+ years of professional experience in sales and local tax analysis.
-Strong understanding of multi-jurisdictional sales tax regulations and reporting requirements.
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
