Leave Care Specialist  We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Leave Care Specialist for our office in New City, New York. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling all aspects of employee leaves, including medical, family, and other protected leaves. This role ensures compliance with federal, state, and company leave policies while providing support to both employees and management.  Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm Leave Care Specialist Responsibilities:
  • Administer employee leave of absence requests, including PWFA, FMLA, ADA, New York State and New York City  leave laws, personal leave, and other applicable leave programs.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employees and managers regarding the leave process, eligibility, documentation, and status updates.
  • Review and process all leave documentation in compliance with federal, state, and company leave policies.
  • Ensure accurate tracking and management of leave balances, return-to-work dates, and any necessary extensions.
  • Collaborate with payroll to ensure accurate compensation during leave periods, including integration with disability or workers’ compensation payments.
  • Educate employees and managers on leave policies, procedures, and their rights and responsibilities.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential leave records in the HRIS system.
  • Coordinate reasonable accommodations in partnership with management and legal teams as necessary.
Leave Care Specialist Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • In-depth knowledge of PWFA, FMLA, ADA, New York State, and New York City leave laws and other state and federal leave laws.
  • Strong understanding of HRIS systems and leave tracking.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification is a plus.
