Job Title: Heavy Equipment Operator

Pay: $21 per hour Hours: 2nd shift: 3:30 PM - 1:30 AM, Monday - Thursday (may include Fridays during peak season) Start Date: ASAP

As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you’ll be key to supporting the preparation and segregation of organic mixes, ensuring smooth production processes. You’ll work closely with your team to keep operations running efficiently and safely.

What You’ll Do

As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for:

• Preparing organic mixes by operating loaders and other heavy equipment
• Pushing piles to segregate materials effectively
• Placing materials into shakers to maintain continuous flow
• Maintaining stockpile slopes to promote a safe work environment
• Adhering to safety protocols and procedures at all times

What You’ll Bring

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

• Experience operating and maintaining heavy equipment such as loaders and dozers
• Ability to maintain stockpile slopes for safety
• Comfort working in dusty, hot, and cold environments
• Physical ability to sit in and climb into equipment repeatedly
• Strong understanding of safety practices and procedures
• Effective communication skills in English or following instructions
• Willingness to work mandatory overtime, including weekends and holidays

Location & Schedule:

This position is on-site in Independence and offers a second-shift schedule from 3:30 PM to 1:30 AM, Monday through Thursday, with potential overtime during peak seasons.
