Log Loader Operator — Urgently hiring in Springfield! Job Title: log loader operator Pay: $28.19/hour Hours: Monday - Friday, 6:30AM - 3:30PM Start Date: ASAP Looking for a lifestyle/career benefit ? As a Log Loader Operator, you'll be responsible for safely operating logging equipment and helping keep the yard organized. You'll work closely with your team to ensure efficient operations and a safe environment. What You'll Do As a Log Loader Operator, you will be responsible for:• Safely operate log loader equipment (e.g., knuckleboom, wheel loader, or tracked loader) to lift and move logs• Load and unload logs onto trucks, railcars, or conveyors• Organize and stack logs in the yard according to species, size, or customer requirements• Perform daily equipment inspections and routine maintenance (e.g., checking fluids, greasing, minor repairs)• Communicate with truck drivers, yard crew, and supervisors to coordinate movements and ensure safety• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the log yard• Follow all safety regulations, environmental rules, and company policies• Record load counts and assist with inventory tracking when needed What You'll Bring The ideal candidate for this role will have:
- Previous experience operating log loaders required
- Familiarity with logging industry practices and safety procedures
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and situational awareness
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Valid driver’s license
