Job Title: Assistant Property Manager Urgently Hiring!
Pay: $18 - $22/hour
Hours: Monday 10am-6pm, Tuesday-Fridays 8:30am-6pm during training period.
If hired on permanently: Tuesday-Thursday 8:30am-5:30pm and Saturday 9am-1pm. (off on Sunday and Monday)
We are seeking an Assistant Property Manager for a full-time position with our client, a locally owned property management company located in Aumsville, Oregon. The Assistant Property Manager will play a key role in renting out residential properties, managing tenant relationships, and ensuring smooth day-to-day property operations. Success in this role means delivering exceptional customer service, maintaining organized property records, and ensuring rental units meet high standards. As an Assistant Property Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Answering phone calls, responding to inquiries, and providing property information
- Meeting with prospective tenants and conducting property tours
- Advertising available properties through various marketing channels
- Screening applicants, including background and credit checks
- Preparing and executing legally compliant lease agreements
- Collecting application fees, security deposits, and monthly rent payments
- Maintaining positive tenant relationships and addressing concerns professionally
- Issuing violation notices and ensuring lease compliance
- Coordinating property maintenance and inspections to meet housing regulations
- Overseeing financial procedures including payment processing and default protocols
- Maintaining accurate records and supporting efficient office operations
- Cleaning office space as needed
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
- Experience in property management or leasing is preferred
- Strong communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills
- Willingness to learn landlord/tenant laws and leasing regulations
- Customer service-oriented mindset
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (property management software knowledge a plus)
- Valid drivers license -you will be paid mileage when you utilize your vehicle at .67/mile monthly
