Structural Welder/Fabricator Position

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $25.00 per hour, higher salary DOE.

Schedule:

  • 10-hour shift, Monday to Thursday

Experience Structural Welder/Fabricator:

  • Structural Welding: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Welding Shop: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Construction: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Forklift: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • Driver's License (Preferred)

A well-established steel fabrication company in Central Oregon is looking for a qualified craftsman Structural Welder/Fabricator to join our team.

4-10s work schedule with three days off per week

Structural Welder/Fabricator Requirements: We are seeking not just welders, but well-rounded fabricators who excel in both aspects of the job. The ideal candidate must have a positive attitude and be able to work well with others.

  • Be experienced and proficient in operating a forklift
  • Have working knowledge of shop equipment and tools including, but not limited to, iron workers, band saws, magnetic and standard drill presses, 4 1/2" and 9" grinders, etc.
  • Be knowledgeable of the D1.1 and D1.8 welding codes
  • Be knowledgeable in heat straightening and general metallurgy
  • Be knowledgeable in CJP and PJP prep, fit up, and completion per D1.1 and D1.8
  • Be knowledgeable of AESS requirements
  • Competently read and understand shop drawings and AWS weld symbols
  • Accurately place and complete welds according to AWS weld symbols
  • Cleanly and accurately cut steel with an acetylene torch
