Job Title: Dual-Role Utility Pole Laborer & Water Truck Driver

Pay: $19.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (Optional Saturday Overtime Available)

Location: On-site in Brownsville, OR

Position Overview

Are you looking for a dynamic, hands-on opportunity with a leading industrial manufacturer? We are urgently hiring a versatile Utility Pole Laborer & Water Truck Driver in Brownsville, OR.

This hybrid position adapts to the weather to keep our site safe and efficient year-round:

  • Dry Days: You will operate our manual transmission water truck to manage site conditions, maintain dust control, and keep operations running safely.

  • Rainy/Wet Days: You will work alongside our manufacturing team framing chemically treated utility poles and managing site materials.

What You’ll Do

Water Truck Operations:

  • Safely operate a manual transmission water truck across designated site areas to minimize dust and enhance safety.

  • Hook up hoses, manage water tanks for filling/dispensing, and perform routine daily inspections to keep equipment well-maintained.

  • Adhere strictly to all site safety protocols and monitor ground conditions to ensure appropriate coverage.

Utility Pole Labor:

  • Frame utility wood poles using tools such as chainsaws, planers, gainers, branders, and high-speed angle grinders.

  • Load, unload, and maneuver heavy materials safely across the yard.

  • Clean up wood cuts, shavings, and debris to maintain a safe, tidy workspace.

What You’ll Bring
  • Driver Requirements: Valid driver’s license and proven proficiency in operating a manual transmission vehicle.

  • Physical Capability: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs consistently and perform repetitive tasks outdoors in all weather conditions.

  • Skills & Experience: Ability to read a tape measure accurately. Experience with framing tools or heavy equipment (forklifts, front-end loaders) is a major plus.

  • Work Ethic: Strong attention to detail, reliability, and a commitment to maintaining site safety standards.
