As a Machine Operator, you'll play a crucial role in supporting production operations, ensuring high-quality output, and maintaining safe and efficient workflows. You'll work closely with the material handling team and heavy equipment operators to keep the production line running smoothly and contribute to continuous improvement.

What You'll Do

As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for:

• Coordinating with the material handler and heavy equipment operator to determine the correct materials for each machine.
• Ensuring shakers (mixers) are filled with the right materials to maintain optimal production flow.
• Selecting and loading the correct roll stock onto the machines.
• Making necessary machine adjustments to meet quality and output standards.
• Performing quality checks, including weighing and volume assessments.
• Communicating with the material handler regarding moisture content or switching materials.
• Conducting housekeeping duties to prevent material buildup under conveyors, aisles, and catwalks, following safety protocols.
• Completing accurate and timely production documentation.
• Reporting any equipment issues or safety concerns to maintenance personnel.
• Following all safety procedures to protect yourself and your coworkers.

What You'll Bring

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

• Ability to follow safety procedures and instructions.
• Basic reading and comprehension skills in English.
• Willingness to work in dusty, hot, cold, or rainy environments.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform ladder climbing.
• Endurance to stand and work on your feet most of the day.
• Flexibility to work mandatory overtime, including weekends and holidays.

Location & Schedule:

This on-site position is based in Independence, Oregon, and offers a daytime shift from 3:00 PM to 1:30 AM, Monday through Friday. Relaxed yet engaging work in a thriving manufacturing setting.
