Job Title: Temporary Delivery Driver

Pay: $19.00 - $19.50/hour

Hours: 5:45am - 2:15pm

Start Date: April 6th or 13th through approximately June 20th

As a Delivery Driver, you’ll play a vital role in supporting a mission-driven organization committed to ending hunger in Marion and Polk Counties. You’ll work closely with community partners and fellow team members to ensure accurate and timely distribution of food, helping to make a difference for those in need.

What You’ll Do:

• Operate a company truck to perform scheduled food pickups and deliveries, including loading and unloading using pallet jacks or forklifts, verifying inventory, weighing products, and ensuring proper storage upon receipt.
• Conduct daily pre-trip inspections and routine vehicle maintenance, such as checking fluids, tires, and safety equipment, and report any issues immediately.
• Support warehouse operations by assisting with order fulfillment, staging, inventory tracking, pallet jack inspections, and maintaining precise records in inventory systems.
• Adhere to food safety standards and company policies, ensuring product integrity during transport.
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating delivery updates, ensuring punctual and accurate deliveries, and maintaining professional interactions with partner agencies, donors, and community members.

What You’ll Bring:

• Prior experience operating straight trucks for delivery, pickup, and warehouse tasks, including safe handling, inventory management, and documentation.
• Experience with forklift and pallet jack operation.
• Valid Oregon driver’s license, auto insurance, and a clean driving record.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to complete reports accurately and promptly.
• Physical ability to perform demanding tasks, including repetitive lifting of 70+ lbs and moving loads up to 1,500 lbs using carts or pallet jacks.
• Strong math, reading, and documentation skills.
• Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and ability to multitask, prioritize, work under pressure, and foster positive relationships with colleagues and community partners.

Location & Schedule:

• This position is on-site in Salem, Oregon.
• Full-time hours, Monday through Friday, with an early morning start.
