We’re urgently hiring dedicated Food Production Sanitation Workers to join a reputable facility in Eugene, specializing in granola, cereal, and flakes. This role is vital in maintaining the highest standards of food safety and sanitation, ensuring the delivery of quality products to consumers each day.
Position Details:
- Pay: $16.25 per hour
- Schedule: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM (Swing Shift)
- Start Date: ASAP
Key Responsibilities:
- Thoroughly clean, disinfect, and sanitize food production and packaging equipment in accordance with Master Sanitation Schedules, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Disassemble machinery, perform deep cleaning and sanitization following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), then reassemble.
- Conduct environmental testing (ATP, Salmonella, Listeria) to verify sanitation efficacy.
- Inspect equipment and production areas for hazards such as brittle plastics or glass to prevent contamination.
- Remove residues from all surfaces that contact food products, maintaining a pristine environment.
- Monitor safety controls like bullet magnets and other safety devices to uphold food safety protocols.
- Adhere strictly to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), safety policies, and housekeeping standards.
- Promptly report any unsafe or unsanitary conditions to management.
- Maintain accurate sanitation records and documentation daily.
- Support food safety initiatives, participate in audits and inspections, and assist in training new team members to foster continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Ability to stand on concrete floors for extended periods (8+ hours).
- Physical capability to bend, stoop, twist, and perform repetitive tasks safely.
- Strong attention to detail and a firm commitment to cleanliness and safety.
- Ability to follow written procedures, safety guidelines, and food safety policies diligently.
- Reliable attendance, strong work ethic, and a team-oriented mindset.
- Prior sanitation experience is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided.
