Job Title: Utility Pole Laborer  Urgently Hiring Pay: $19.00 /hr Hours: Monday - Friday from 7am - 3:30pm with OT available on Saturdays Start Date: ASAP Stella-Jones Corporation is seeking an efficient and safety-minded Utility Pole Laborer to help with manufacturing chemically treated utility poles & railroad ties. The Utility Pole Laborer will be responsible for operating and maintaining various tools and loading/ unloading heavy materials on a regular basis.

 

As a Utility Pole Laborer, you will be responsible for:

• Use chainsaws, planers, drills, gainers and branders to frame utility wood poles
• Will be using a slow speed drill for the first week and then will move to a high speed angle grinder
• Clean up of wood cuts, shavings and debris
• Load and unload materials

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

• Preference will be given to anyone with framer experience
• Experienced with heavy equipment such as front end loader, forklift or water truck (a plus) 
• Ability to do very repetitive work in outside weather conditions
• Ability to read tape measure
