We are recruiting a Fitter/Fabricator  for a designer and builder of material handling systems. This company provides services such as fabrication, "green field", site management, installation and maintenance as well as designing custom industrial structures. This position works in the shop manufacturing parts and machinery.

Duties and Responsibilities for Fitter/Fabricator:

• Weld, fabricate, layout and assemble parts and machinery accurately and quickly from engineered drawings or verbal direction.
• Operate carbon arc welder.
• Operate shear, press brake and rolls.
• Operate ironworker and saw.
• Operate forklifts.
• Work with bearings, sprockets, belting and alignment.
• Maintenance of fabrication shop equipment.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area on a daily basis.
• Willing to work overtime and Saturdays to meet customer deadlines.

Skills and Qualifications for Fitter/Fabricator:

• Minimum of one year of experience as a fabricator/fitter.
• Ability to read blueprints with minimal guidance.
• Ability to understand plumb, level and square.
• Knowledge of basic geometry and be able to use a calculator.
• Ability to run over-head crane and rigging.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Tool box with all appropriate fabricator tools.
• Self-motivated, energetic, dependable, honest, and thorough.
• Quality conscious with the ability to meet productivity goals.
• Ability to change direction and handle multiple responsibilities and tasks.
• Desire to positively motivate coworkers and team members.
• Dependable and reliable

Job Details for Fabricator/Fitter:

• Temp-Hire
• Monday - Friday 6am-4:30pm
  • Must be available to work occasional Saturdays IF/WHEN mandated by client
• $26 + DOE
