Die Maintenance Technician 

Local Springfield company that manufactures metal parts such as plates, brackets, straps, coils, etc. is seeking a Die Maintenance Technician.  Dies are designed and developed in house and are essential tools for making our products used in the construction industry. Anyone looking for a fast-paced work environment who enjoys problem solving and possesses strong attention to detail is an ideal candidate for this role.

Duties and Responsibilities for Die Maintenance Technician:

• Sharpen punch press and roll forming dies
• Repair punch press and dies
• Assemble punch press and dies

Skills and Qualifications for Die Maintenance Technician:

• Math Skills (algebra, geometry)
• Strong Work Ethic
• Self-Motivated
• Working knowledge of machine shop and shop practices such as surface grinders, drill presses, mills, cut off saw, band saw
• Attention to detail
• Ability to use calipers, micrometers, height indicators preferred
• Ability to interpret die drawings and tolerances required for parts preferred 
• Technical degree in die design/maintenance field preferred
• Previous metal stamping experience is a plus

Work Schedule: Training Schedule Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Once trained schedule will eventually shift Monday - Friday  6:00AM - 2:30PM  Pay Rate: $25.00/hour #STEUG
