We are seeking a
Vinyl Materials Welder for a
Temp-Hire position with our client, a highly reputable and long-standing local company with a
World-Wide reach, who prides themselves on supporting life in the face of adverse conditions; And who is dedicated to building the toughest shelter and field support systems on the market, located in
Eugene, Oregon.
The
Vinyl Materials Welder, also known as Vinyl RF Machine Operator, assembles a variety
of vinyl parts and products using a RF (Radio Frequency) welding machine. This
role will measure, align and weld vinyl parts and assemblies to predetermined
specifications and drawings.
As a
Vinyl Materials Welder, you will be responsible for:
- Assures that all products are assembled to the highest standard of quality as
- determined by process documents and product specifications.
- Constructs assigned components of work orders properly, following a
- combination of printed work instructions, integral samples and verbal instructions.
- Inspects in-process materials to ensure shade compatibility, material flaws and correctness of material prior to welding.
- Reports product non-conformities to production supervisor in a timely manner.
- Maintains quality objectives and standards for the department.
- Follows correct ISO procedures, including lot number tracking where applicable.
- Checks incoming work orders for accuracy, due dates and priorities.
- Works with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency.
- Assists in the training of new employees, as needed.
- Operates all equipment and tools safely.
- Responsible for all safety aspects within the scope of work.
- Keep workplace clean, tidy and in good condition.
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous manufacturing and/or RF Welding experience preferred
- Ability to consistently lift and move up to 50 pounds of material without assistance throughout work shift.
- Ability to sit, bend or stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to crawl/ crouch while assembling and/or inspecting vinyl components
- Visual acuity to read instructions, operate machines, and inspect parts
- produced.
- Ability to properly use hand tools, i.e., utility knife, Scissors, tape measure
