Summary:

We are seeking a Lead CNC Machinist for a Temp-Hire position with our client, a reputable manufacturer, located in Albany, Oregon. This role offers hands-on experience with state-of-the-art CNC equipment in a high-precision manufacturing environment. Ideal for someone with strong machining and quality control skills who’s eager to grow, learn, and contribute to a collaborative team.

As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for:

• Setting up and operating CNC mill-turn equipment safely and efficiently.
• Interpreting engineering drawings, GD&T, and machining specifications.
• Loading and measuring materials, ensuring parts meet dimensional requirements.
• Diagnosing and resolving machining issues in coordination with programmers and team members.
• Maintaining accurate production and inspection documentation.
• Supporting other shop functions as needed, including manual lathe, EDM, and forging.

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Vocational training or minimum 2 years of CNC machining experience.
• Proficiency in measurement tools and in-process inspection.
• Strong math, geometry, and blueprint reading skills.
• Experience with Epicor or similar ERP systems preferred.
