Job Title: Specialty Process Technician - Urgently Hiring

Pay: $18/hr 1st 90 days - roll over at $22.97/hr Hours: Monday - Friday 1p - 9p  w/paid 30 min lunch  Start Date: ASAP We are seeking a Specialty Process Technician for a Full Time position for our client, a local leading manufacturer of abrasive blast media, foundry products, roofing materials and specialty aggregates is currently seeking a new Specialty Process Technician to join their administrative team in Riddle, Oregon. The purpose of the Specialty Process Technician is to precisely operate the Binder Ready production process ensuring the highest level of integrity and consistency of the product is being produced.

As a Specialty Process Technician, you will be responsible for:

  • Operating the process equipment to ensure drying and chemical mixtures are precise by consistently monitoring quality.
  • Maintain constant operation of the specialty process equipment at peak performance to ensure products are meeting standards set for maximum product utilization and cost control metrics and report daily in database.
  • Complete process sample testing and analyze data.
  • Record plant sample results in the database and other various spreadsheets. (Record and report any discrepancies to Operations Manager as soon as possible.)
  • Analyze blending data and make adjustments when needed.
  • Set up all testing procedures.
  • Set up bagging area for production requirements.
  • Operate forklift for production and warehousing needs.
  • Keep accurate, detailed information on production and quality and report data on appropriate applications.
  • Send daily required emails.
  • Help bag product in packaging when needed.
  • Perform daily clean up.
  • Other tasks and duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate for this role will have: 

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • At least 2 years Heavy Equipment experience preferred
  • Strong analytical and computer skills to work in a production setting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Able to follow written and/or verbal instructions.
  • Possess ability and understanding of general mathematics at a high school level.
  • Possess understanding of chemical measurements and reactivity.
  • Consistently ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like. 
  • Consistently moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one work site to another
  • Occasionally it requires remaining in a stationary position, standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
  • Occasionally requires adjusting or moving objects 50 lbs in all different directions 
  • Consistently requires operating machinery and/or power tools
  • Occasionally requires operating a motor vehicle or heavy equipment
  • Consistently assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned.
