Job Title: Assistant Property Manager (not living onsite)

We are seeking an Assistant Property Manager for a long term position with our client, a construction and property management company in Salem, Oregon.
As an Assistant Property Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Overseeing daily onsite operations to ensure the property is maintained
- Managing resident relations; must have good communication and conflict resolution skills
- Managing tenant disputes including follow up for resolution
- Assisting in maintaining current electronic resident files
- Overseeing leasing/vacancies; requires understanding of rent charges
- Communication with staff at the main office, including in-person training, meetings, phone calls, and email correspondence
- Inspecting and ensure vacant units are “rent ready” prior to being rented
- Assisting with new tenant move-ins
- Inspecting occupied units and assess for compliance issues
- Issuing appropriate notices to tenants, as needed
- Assisting with ensuring overall appearance of the property is in suitable condition by performing regular inspections of the grounds and facilities
- Assisting with implementing policies of the community/company
- Assisting with managing daily bank deposits
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
- At least one year of property management experience
- Bilingual Spanish/English
- Ability to input information and navigate property management software on a computer, Microsoft Office experience preferred
- Knowledge and understanding of landlord/tenant and Fair Housing laws
- Ability to canvass the property to help maintain standards of safety and sanitation
- A consistent positive and professional attitude
- Strong writing skills to produce written correspondence and notices
- Demonstrated ability to support and contribute to a team environment
- Current and valid driver’s license is required
- A cellular device is required for communication throughout the workday
- Reliable transportation is required
