Job Title: Assistant Property Manager (not living onsite)

Pay: $24-$29/hr  Hours: M-F 8am-5pm  Start Date: ASAP

We are seeking an Assistant Property Manager for a long term position with our client, a construction and property management company in Salem, Oregon

As an Assistant Property Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing daily onsite operations to ensure the property is maintained
  • Managing resident relations; must have good communication and conflict resolution skills
  • Managing tenant disputes including follow up for resolution
  • Assisting in maintaining current electronic resident files
  • Overseeing leasing/vacancies; requires understanding of rent charges
  • Communication with staff at the main office, including in-person training, meetings, phone calls, and email correspondence
  • Inspecting and ensure vacant units are “rent ready” prior to being rented
  • Assisting with new tenant move-ins
  • Inspecting occupied units and assess for compliance issues
  • Issuing appropriate notices to tenants, as needed
  • Assisting with ensuring overall appearance of the property is in suitable condition by performing regular inspections of the grounds and facilities
  • Assisting with implementing policies of the community/company
  • Assisting  with managing daily bank deposits

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

  • At least one year of property management experience
  • Bilingual Spanish/English
  • Ability to input information and navigate property management software on a computer, Microsoft Office experience preferred
  • Knowledge and understanding of landlord/tenant and Fair Housing laws
  • Ability to canvass the property to help maintain standards of safety and sanitation
  • A consistent positive and professional attitude
  • Strong writing skills to produce written correspondence and notices
  • Demonstrated ability to support and contribute to a team environment
  • Current and valid driver’s license is required
  • A cellular device is required for communication throughout the workday
  • Reliable transportation is required
