Job Title: Machinist  Urgently Hiring Pay: $19.00/hour Hours: Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM Must be willing to work overtime as needed Start Date: ASAP We are seeking a Mechanist for a temp-to-hire position with a long-standing company that manufactures a full line of irrigation fittings and equipment for farm and commercial. This is an excellent opportunity to grow and develop skills in a hands-on role. This opportunity is a temp-to-hire position with long-term implications!  As a Machinist, you will be responsible for:

• Set up and operate machining equipment, including lathes, CNC machines, grinders, and saws
• Adjust machine settings according to job specifications (speed, feed rates, tool selection)
• Read blueprints and technical drawings to determine machine settings and material needs
• Monitor machine operations, making adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency
• Inspect and measure parts using tools like micrometers and calipers to ensure accuracy
• Perform basic machine maintenance, such as cleaning and lubrication
• Troubleshoot minor machine issues to avoid production delays
• Ensure machines are operating safely and according to safety guidelines
• Package finished parts and keep the work area organized and clean
• Wear proper protective equipment and follow safety procedures
• Lift and move materials up to 50lbs as needed

The ideal candidate for this role will have: 

• MUST have machinist experience
• Ability to work on machines for extended periods (up to 8 hours per day)
• Comfortable with tools and equipment, including lathes, grinders, saws, and other machining tools
• Good attention to detail, with a focus on quality and safety
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs consistently
