As a CNC Laser Programmer, you'll support seamless production workflows and contribute to the company's reputation for quality. You will work closely with the production team and programmers to ensure efficient laser cutting operations, precise programming, and quality assurance.
What You'll Do
As a CNC Laser Programmer, you will be responsible for: Creating and generating laser programs using nesting software and CAD files to maximize material utilization. Reviewing job orders to verify material specifications, quantities, priorities, and cutting methods. Performing first article inspections to ensure parts meet specified tolerances and quality standards. Making program edits and machine adjustments to optimize cutting efficiency and accuracy. Supporting overall material yield and process improvements. Collaborating with production and programming teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly. Maintaining detailed documentation of programs, revisions, and production records. Following all safety procedures, shop standards, and quality protocols.What You'll Bring
The ideal candidate for this role will have: Experience with CNC programming or laser programming preferred. Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, measurements, and tolerances confidently. Basic math and dimensional measurement knowledge (both SAE & metric units). Proficiency with computers, Microsoft Office, and manufacturing software. Experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar CAD software is highly desirable.
