Pay: $18/hr Hours: TBD Start Date: ASAP Looking for a flexible schedule in a hands-on role? This is the job for you! Join a certified traffic control team, you'll keep work zones safe, and play an essential part in keeping local road projects moving smoothly every day.

As a Certified Flagger, you will ensure safe and efficient traffic flow around active construction and roadwork zones, protecting both workers and the public. You will work closely with the construction crew and traffic control team to maintain clear communication and deliver results that keep each project running safely and smoothly. What You'll Do:

As a Certified Flagger, you will be responsible for:
  • Using radios, paddles, and proper hand signals to safely direct traffic through and around active work zones
  • Communicating clearly with the construction crew and other flaggers to maintain a safe and efficient workflow
  • Monitoring traffic and adjusting control measures as needed to prevent accidents or delays
  • Following all state traffic control laws and safety regulations at all times
  • Remaining alert and attentive while working in outdoor environments and near moving vehicles

What You’ll Bring:

The ideal candidate for this role will have: 
  • A valid and active Flagger Certification and High Visibility safety clothing
  • Experience or strong ability to work in outdoor, high-traffic environments while staying alert at all times
  • Excellent situational awareness and communication skills to ensure safe traffic management
  • A dependable and safety-focused personality with a commitment to protecting workers and the public
  • Reliable transportation to travel between job sites as needed
  • Personal flagging equipment including a stop/slow paddle and two-way radios
  • Physical ability to stand for 8 to 10 hours at a time and perform duties in all weather conditions
