The Maintenance Worker position is responsible for ensuring the operation of our facilities. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a proactive attitude towards maintenance tasks. This role is crucial in maintaining a safe, functional, and aesthetically pleasing environment for our staff and clients.
Duties and Responsibilities for Maintenance Workers:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as repairing plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC systems, and general carpentry work.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify any issues or potential hazards.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and address any concerns in a timely manner.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, repairs, and inspections.
- Assist in the implementation of preventive maintenance programs to minimize equipment downtime and prolong the lifespan of assets.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of work areas and storage spaces.
- Collaborate with other team members and contractors to complete larger maintenance projects.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while performing maintenance tasks.
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and implement effective solutions.
- Perform landscaping and outdoor maintenance tasks as needed.
- Train alongside Maintenance Technicians and assist them with daily tasks.
Skills and Qualifications for Maintenance Workers:
- Food Safety – Aware of empowerment to act to resolve Food Safety Issues within the scope of work.
- Food Safety – Conform to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s).
- Reliable form of transportation.
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Worker or similar role, preferably in a commercial or industrial setting.
- Proficiency in basic maintenance tasks such as plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and HVAC systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations related to maintenance work.
****Tools/toolbox:maintenance techs and workers are supposed to bring their own toolbox with their own basic tools (wrenches, screwdrivers, drills etc.). They do not need to have their tool box ready on their first day, and they can see what they would actually need before they go out and purchase their own tools.****
Job Details for Maintenance Workers:
- Temp-Hire
- 12 hour shifts: 5am-5pm or 5pm-5am ALL HOURS WORKED OVER 2 hours in a DAY, are paid at OVERTIME rate
- SCHEDULE IS AS FOLLOWS:
- Sunday through every other Wednesday (1st half of the week)
- Shift 1 is DAYS 5am-5pm
- Shift 2 is NIGHTS 5pm-5am
- Every other Wednesday through Saturday (2nd half of the week)
- Shift 3 is DAYS 5am-5pm
- Shift 4 is NIGHTS 5pm-5am
- $22.28 for DAYS
- $24.78 for NIGHTS ($2.50/hr differential)
