Duties and Responsibilities for Purchasing Agent
- Receive and review requisitions for materials and equipment from project managers
- Source materials and equipment per company procedures and obtain vendor quotes
- Analyze quotes and present findings to management for decision-making
- Create and distribute purchase orders using the company’s system
- Track, expedite, and update orders and scheduling in the purchasing system
- Verify and document received materials
- Assist estimating with vendor quotes for bid preparation
- Prepare submittal documentation and coordinate supplier compliance with project managers
- Perform additional tasks as directed by management
Skills and Qualifications for Purchasing Agent
- Familiar with procurement processes, policies, and accounting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Oracle
- Skilled in managing multiple tasks and adapting to changing priorities
- Capable of working under pressure with a positive attitude
- Self-motivated, proactive, and a team player
- Professional in interactions with employees, vendors, and clients
- In-depth knowledge of electrical equipment and construction materials preferred

Pay Rate Range:
$25.00 - $35.00/hour, DOE
