Shipper/Packager

Work for a local steel manufacturing company looking for a Shipper/Packager This is a great opportunity to take on an engineering role and be provided industry specific training in an Engineering Department! Duties and Responsibilities Shipper/Packager

• The Packager and Shipper will complete all required internal and external paperwork accurately
• and in a timely manner.
• Report problems or situations to department Lead or Supervisor in a prudent and timely fashion as
• they arise.
• Communicate effectively with engineers, expeditors, managers, office staff and employees.
• Set a good example for others to follow.
• Maintain all quality standards required within the department.
• Inspect all parts manufactured for quality and efficient production methods and report all inconsistencies to Department Supervisor in a timely manner.
• Package and ship parts in an efficient, safe and cost-effective manner so that parts are delivered in good condition and on time.
• Maintaining accurate counts and paperwork.
• Abide by Employee Handbook including regular attendance and working cooperatively.

Skills and Qualifications for Shipper/Packager

• The ability to read prints.
• Be detail oriented.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Be self-directed and motivated.
• Have good basic math skills.
• Must have basic computer skills.
• Must know or learn quickly the needs and requirements of all shipping companies that Superior Steel uses.
• Must be able to communicate well with other employees and vendors.
• Must be dependable and reliable.

Job Details for Shipper/Packager

Temp-Hire Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:30AM - 4:00PM Must be available to work, Mon-Fri, 5:30AM - 4:00PM, IF/WHEN mandated by client Overtime in this department should be expected at times Pay Rate:  $16.50/hour
