Selectemp is hiring for a food share that collects and distributes food to a network of more than 100 partner agencies. Support from the community makes it possible for the food share to distribute food to meal sites, food pantries, foster homes, low-income day care centers, shelters and senior housing sites across the Mid-Valley.
Summary of Role:
The HR Generalist supports employees across the Food Share by providing technical assistance and information related to human resource functions, assisting staff with HRIS issues, performing HRIS data entry, conducting file audits, filing digital and paper documents. This position resolves problems and ensures positive employee relations. Core Areas of Responsibility ? Assists the Director of People and Culture in the daily administration of HR services. ? Assist Directors with Recruitment and Selection process. ? Coordinates the Front Office. ? Supports Vocational Participants, and volunteers assigned to the front desk. ? Provides warm, welcoming front desk coverage for the Food Share.Duties and Responsibilities for Human Resource Generalist:
Coordinates and supports Supervisors with the Recruitment and Selection process. ? Communicate with candidates, recruiters, and hiring leaders throughout the recruitment & selection process. ? Manage onboarding and some terminating processes in coordination with supervisors. This includes HR Compliance - Employment Eligibility and Verification Form I-9 maintenance. ? Orient new hires to Paylocity, time sheet, leave requests, leave balances, check stub information. ? Manage employee benefit (medical, dental, Life/Disability, FSA, HSA) process – this includes explaining rules programs to employees, communications with providers, benefits administration, monitoring and entering elections and changes on provider sites, entering related deductions and earnings in Paylocity, troubleshoot issues with service providers, periodically audit to ensure all systems are correct. ? Complete requests for information from outside entities that require available, verified information on past or current employees (e.g. student loan forgiveness, child support, income verification, and other forms). ? Assist supervisors and managers with time cards, HR actions, and events, and other Paylocity processes. ? Manage and audits transition to paperless HR files. ? Develop, prepare, generate, and analyze ongoing and ad-hoc special reports pertaining to employee personnel information and data. ? Process Invoices for payment as needed. ? Participate in and contribute to continuous improvement strategies and projects. Skills and qualifications for Human Resource Generalist: At least one to three (1-3) years of experience providing excellent customer service or HR support in a business setting AND a high school diploma or GED ? OR - Any combination of education and experience equivalent to four (4) years that supports the knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position. Any of the following experiences are strongly preferred but not mandatory: Bilingual (Spanish/English) ? Two years of reception experience providing excellent customer service in an office setting. ? Two or three years of experience supporting Human Resource functions. ? Prior cash counting, A/R experience. ? Intermediate experience in Microsoft Office 365 software including Word, Excel, and Outlook. ? Prior experience with HRIS systems like Paylocity.Job Details for Human Resource Generalist:
