Sanitation Workers are responsible for the daily sanitation of the facility and machinery used to produce product.
Duties and Responsibilities for Sanitation Workers:
- FOOD SAFETY – Allergen Awareness
- FOOD SAFETY – Equipment and line cleaning
- Run dishwashing machine.
- Maintain work areas, equipment and utensils in clean and orderly condition.
- Washes pots, pans, buckets and trays by hand or places them in racks or on conveyor to dishwashing machine.
- Disassemble manufacturing lines.
- Clean and sanitize parts and equipment. Keep parts organized by machine.
- Sweep and mop floors.
- Washes and sanitizes equipment.
- Pressure wash equipment using industrial pressure washer.
- Follow and improve area processes.
- Understand and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that pertain to your area.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications for Sanitation Workers:
- Sanitation experience of some kind is required
- FOOD SAFETY – Notify management of any Food Safety Issue.
- FOOD SAFETY – Aware of empowerment to act to resolve Food Safety issues within the scope of work.
- FOOD SAFETY – Conform to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s).
- Must understand Allergens
- Must understand and follow all GMP, SQF, HAACP, BBP and Food Defense policies.
- Able to speak and read English.
- Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities.
- Able to work in a team environment.
- Must be available to work assigned shifts and be flexible with any extended hours due to production needs changes
Job Details for Sanitation Workers:
- Temp-Hire
- 12 hour shifts: 5am-5pm or 5pm-5am (may only work 10 hours while training and then move to 12 hours). ALL HOURS WORKED OVER 10 hours in a DAY, are paid at OVERTIME rate
- SCHEDULE IS AS FOLLOWS:
- Sunday through Tuesday (every other Wednesday) (1st half of the week)
- Shift 1 is DAYS 5am-5pm
- Shift 2 is NIGHTS 5pm-5am
- (Every other Wednesday) Thursday through Saturday (2nd half of the week)
- Shift 3 is DAYS 5am-5pm
- Shift 4 is NIGHTS 5pm-5am
- $16.50 for DAYS
- $19.00 for NIGHTS ($2.50/hr differential)
