Duties and Responsibilities for Utility Pole Laborer/Framer:
- Frame utility wood poles using chainsaws, planers & gainers
- Drill poles using large hand drill
- Measure power poles
- Inspect product prior to moving poles
- Install star locks into poles using sledge hammer
- Pole Framer is responsible for burning the brand into poles
Skills and Qualifications for Utility Pole Laborer/Framer:
- Must be able to stand 8 hours
- Must be able to bend, kneel, stoop, twist
- Proficient reading a tape measure
- Must be comfortable working in outdoor conditions. Very little of the work environment is covered, so rain gear is good for the winter months and sunscreen is necessary for the summer months.
- Customer can help with providing rain gear until you can purchase your own if necessary
- Willing to train!
Job Details for Utility Pole Laborer/Framer:
- Temp-Hire
- Monday-Friday 5am-3:30pm: Must be available for OT on Saturdays when required
- 1st day orientation will be 6am! (unless otherwise directed by Selectemp)
- $22/hr
