Job Title: Field Millwright Pay: $25.00–$30.00/hour DOE Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM Start Date: ASAP

As a Field Millwright, you'll be the key to turning blueprints into reality by installing, aligning, and repairing heavy industrial machinery on-site. You'll work closely with skilled tradespeople to see projects from start to finish, solving mechanical challenges along the way.

What You'll Do

As a Field Millwright, you will be responsible for • Traveling to customer sites across Oregon and surrounding states for installation and project work • Installing and assembling industrial machinery, conveyors, shafting, and material-handling systems • Reading blueprints, layouts, and technical drawings to determine installation procedures • Rigging, lifting, moving, and positioning heavy machinery using cranes, hoists, jacks, rollers, and other tools • Aligning and leveling machinery to ensure proper operation and precision • Dismantling, repairing, modifying, and reinstalling industrial equipment • Welding, fabricating, cutting, fitting, and assembling components in the field • Building and preparing foundations and structural supports for machinery • Troubleshooting mechanical issues and finding effective solutions • Collaborating with team members to complete projects efficiently

What You'll Bring

The ideal candidate for this role will have • At least 3+ years of millwright, industrial maintenance, or equipment installation experience • Experience working in wood products, sawmills, manufacturing, or heavy industrial environments is highly preferred • Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills and aptitude • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, layouts, and technical drawings • Experience with rigging, machinery alignment, conveyors, bearings, and shafting • Welding and fabrication skills • Familiarity with precision measuring and alignment tools • Engine lathe experience is a plus • Willingness to travel to various job sites across the region • A strong safety mindset and team-oriented work ethic
