Pay: $18.00 per hour Hours: October 5th – October 9th 6:30 AM - 5:30 PM (Full availability during event dates required) Start Date: ASAP

Join a top regional retriever organization as an Event Staff & Field Operator in Roseburg and be part of a dynamic team supporting a fast-paced live retriever event this October. This short-term position is perfect for energetic individuals who love working outdoors, engaging with trained working dogs, and collaborating with a team to make the event a success.

As an Event Staff & Field Operator, you'll assist in various operational roles to ensure the event runs smoothly and safely. You'll work closely with event directors and volunteers to support bird handling, field support, and overall event coordination, helping create an exceptional experience for participants and handlers alike.

What You'll Do

As an Event Staff & Field Operator, you will be responsible for

• Safely setting up, loading, and firing bird launchers (Boom Gun Operation)
• Assisting with bird handling, setup, and ground operations for retrieving birds (Bird & Property Handling)
• Supporting the event team in maintaining smooth, safe, and timely operations (Field Support)
• Collaborating with team members and volunteers to step in wherever needed (Teamwork)

• Punctuality and dependability, with a strong sense of responsibility
• Physical stamina to stand, walk, and move outdoors for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs comfortably
• Strong listening skills to follow safety protocols and instructions quickly and accurately
• A positive, helpful attitude, and a team-oriented mindset ready to assist wherever needed
