What You’ll Do
As a Leasing Assistant, you will be responsible for:
- Providing exceptional customer service to prospective residents through property tours and promptly responding to inquiries via phone, email, and online platforms.
- Assisting with marketing efforts, managing online listings, and preparing marketing reports.
- Tracking showings and follow-ups with prospective tenants using traffic logs and guest cards.
- Processing rental applications, preparing lease agreements, and coordinating move-in details to ensure a smooth transition for new residents.
- Ensuring all move-in and renewal paperwork is completed accurately and on schedule.
- Supporting move-in and move-out procedures, including documentation and key transfers.
- Entering resident activity, leasing data, and updates into AppFolio accurately and efficiently.
- Assisting with lease renewals, notices, and other tasks as assigned by the Property Manager.
- Maintaining a clean, attractive property environment by ensuring vacant units, common areas, and amenities are presentable and tour-ready.
- Monitoring safety conditions and reporting maintenance or safety concerns immediately.
- Participating in training and development opportunities to enhance skills.
- Ensuring compliance with Fair Housing laws and local/state landlord-tenant regulations to promote fair and legal leasing practices.
What You’ll Bring
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
- Prior experience in multi-family leasing or property management (preferred).
- Familiarity with AppFolio (a strong plus).
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Ability to multi-task, stay organized, and resolve conflicts effectively.
- A team-oriented approach with a positive attitude and dependability.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
