Job Title: Warehouse Lead Hiring Now

Pay: $60,000 - 70,000 Annually DOE Hours: Monday - Friday, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM Start Date: ASAP We are seeking a Warehouse Lead for a Temp-Hire position for our client, a hemp seed distribution center and warehouse that packages, ships and distributes seeds World-Wide located Springfield, OR.  This is a great opportunity to be a part of a great program and further your career in this industry, located in Springfield, OR.   

As a Warehouse Lead, you will be responsible for:

  • Inventory Control: Oversee inventory levels and stock availability, coordinating with overseas procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and supplies.  Ensure that established procedures are adhered to with respect to the flow of inventory through production and sales, which will result in accurate inventory levels within the Company’s various systems.

  • Resource Allocation: Rotate manpower resources among tasks to enhance learning and provide relief from the repetitive nature of the manual labor, which will help ensure efficient production operations.

  • Workflow Management: Monitor production workflows and processes, identifying deviations from established protocols and implementing corrective actions to optimize productivity and minimize downtime.

  • Training and Development: Train and develop production staff, providing guidance on established practices and procedures, job-specific skills, and safety procedures.  Provide informal interim performance reviews for new hires and formal annual performance reviews for all warehouse staff.

  • Production Monitoring: Monitor production performance metrics as determined by overseas Logistics Management and implement corrective actions to address variances.

  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate production records and documentation and provide regular updates to overseas Logistics Management.

  • Safety Compliance: Promote and enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for all production staff.

  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency enhancement, and work with overseas Logistics Management to assess them.
 

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and motivational skills

  • Strong work ethic 
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Meticulous attention to order, inventory control, and cleanliness of the facilities
  • At least two years’ previous experience in a production or manufacturing warehouse environment.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, adapting to changing priorities and requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite preferred.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
  • Problem-solving mindset, with the ability to identify issues and suggest effective solutions in a timely manner.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards in a production setting.
