This Temp-to-Hire position as a CoGen Boiler Operator Assistant offers comprehensive hands-on training and the chance to develop essential skills in boiler and mill operations.

As a CoGen Boiler Operator Assistant, you’ll work directly with the Lead Operator to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable boiler functioning. This role is perfect for motivated individuals with mechanical aptitude who are eager to advance their careers in industrial operations.

What You'll Do:

As a CoGen Boiler Operator Assistant, you will be responsible for:

• Assisting the Lead CoGen Boiler Operator with daily operational tasks and maintenance activities to support smooth plant functions
• Safely lifting up to 50 lbs consistently and following all safety protocols
• Learning and supporting processes related to waste management, gas systems, and boiler operations (training provided, prior experience preferred but not required)
• Monitoring boiler systems and assisting in their operation under supervision to ensure safe and efficient performance
• Communicating effectively with team members and adhering to safety standards at all times

What You’ll Bring:

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

• Strong mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn new skills
• Experience with waste and gas systems or boiler operations (preferred, but not required)
• Reliability, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well within a team
• Flexibility to work 12-hour rotating shifts and availability for overtime as needed

Location & Schedule:

This position is on-site in Roseburg, OR, offering rotating 12-hour shifts: one month days (7a-7p), one month nights (7p-7a), with shift rotation over a 3-4 day workweek. Availability for overtime is required.
