Job Title: Mill Clean Up — Special Project

Pay: $20/hour Hours: Tuesday 11/25 & Wednesday 11/26 — 6 AM - 230 PM Start Date: Tuesday, 11/25 Looking for a hands-on opportunity with one of the top employers in Douglas County? This Mill Clean Up and Firewatch position offers the chance to be part of a dedicated team focused on safety, production, and maintaining clean, well-functioning mill operations. As a Mill Clean Up & Firewatch team member, you’ll play a key role in maintaining a safe and organized mill environment while supporting critical production work. You’ll work closely with the maintenance and millwright teams to ensure hot work areas remain clear, hazards are quickly addressed, and fire safety is maintained at all times. Your attention to detail and commitment to safety will help keep operations running smoothly and efficiently.

What You'll Do:

As a Mill Clean Up and Firewatch team member, you will be responsible for:

• Monitoring and performing Firewatch duties around millwrights and hot work areas
• Extinguishing fires immediately if they occur
• Cleaning and maintaining the area surrounding work zones
• Assisting with debris removal, shoveling, sweeping, and proper disposal
• Using provided tools such as fire hoses, shovels, and flat bars safely and efficiently

What You’ll Bring:

• The ideal candidate for this role will have:
• Full leather over-the-ankle work boots (required)
• Ability to lift and maneuver 50+ lbs consistently
• Comfort working in confined spaces (certification preferred but not required)
• Willingness to work in all weather conditions
• Strong attention to safety and the ability to stay alert in physically demanding environments
• Dependability, stamina, and a team-oriented mindset
